DS-75
***NQP means "Not Quite Perfect". These are always visual flaws that never affect performance.***
As the name suggests, the DS-75 is a 7075 aluminum alloy version of the DS-61.
It’s technically “boosted”, which means it weighs less than the 6061 counterpart, even though the alloy is heavier. However, the weight is only slightly less and since the alloy is already in the name we went with “DS-75”. It would be weird and less cool to call this “Boosted DS-61”.
The point of the DS Series is to attempt pure performance. Performance over looks results in a stark aesthetic. It’s all business end. The fastest way to the rim is a straight line so no extra weight ends up in the mid-section. The additional width and additional rim weight give it the most mass away from the center plane that we've released to date. It has increased spin inertia over the DS-61.
